Ah, the rain
We had been thinking for a while about drought and those emptying reservoirs but now we're thinkng only of the emptying clouds, pouring their sweet, watery contents on top of our heads...and in our fields and down the drain! When I see the huge amounts of rain falling and running off our roofs, pavements and streets I think 'Wow, that's a lot of water just pouring away down the drains and away.' Away to where though? That leads me to think of Glebelands City Growers in Sale www.glebelandscitygrowers.co.uk/ who have jut put 2 huge tanks on their site to collect the water run-off from their glasshouse. I'm not sure how long it will take them to fill these huge tanks but one thing is sure, they'll be catching every drop of the rain which has fallen on their glasshouse which will then water their thirsty crops in the drier parts of the year. So don't worry about the rain, you'll be eating it later ;)
